Privacy notice for the Talaria beta signup
This page explains, in plain language, what happens when you leave your email address on talaria.sageware.io. The site is run by Sageware Solutions Inc.
What we collect
- The email address you type in.
- The date and time you signed up.
- Which version of this notice was shown when you signed up.
We don’t ask for your name or anything else, and the signup application doesn’t store your IP address. To slow down automated abuse, it keeps a short-lived counter per network, labelled with a one-way keyed hash of the address rather than the address itself, and clears old counters over time. Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure in front of the app may keep routine connection logs.
What we use it for
Only to contact you about the Talaria beta — for example, to tell you when a beta spot is available. Signing up doesn’t guarantee access to the beta, and we haven’t set a date. We won’t add you to unrelated mailing lists, and we don’t sell your email address.
The verification check
The form uses ALTCHA, a self-hosted proof-of-work check. Your browser solves a small puzzle and our own server checks the answer. The check runs on our own server rather than a third-party CAPTCHA service, and this signup site doesn’t set cookies.
Where it’s kept
Signups are stored in a PostgreSQL database operated by Sageware Solutions Inc. There is no public page or web endpoint that lists them; they are read only through server access controlled by Sageware.
Changing your mind
To have your email address removed, or to ask what we hold about you, email jesse@sageware.io from that address.
